Position Overview
The Social Media Manager will play a vital role in our marketing team by developing and executing social media strategies that align with our business objectives. You will be responsible for enhancing our online brand presence, improving customer engagement, and driving traffic to our platforms. This is a hands-on role that requires creativity, analytical skills, and an understanding of the latest trends in social media.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand exposure, engagement, and customer loyalty.
- Create, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written) across various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others.
- Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a “social” way while cultivating a strong community on social media.
- Lead social campaigns for product launches, promotions, and special events to drive traffic and engagement.
- Analyze performance metrics to refine strategies, reporting on metrics such as engagement, reach, and conversion rates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, customer service, and product development to ensure a cohesive brand message.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices, proactively introducing new ideas and initiatives.
- Manage social media advertising campaigns, optimizing spend and performance based on campaigns and results.
- Train and mentor junior team members in social media best practices.
- Develop and manage a social media content calendar to ensure timely and relevant posting.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Social Media Manager position will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience managing social media campaigns, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Proficient in social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and TikTok) and their advertising tools.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
